In the past few years I haven’t posted in this blog. I have
never thought of posting and creating new articles for my blog again.
Well, 2010 and 2011 was such a blast. I want to share these
experiences, though it might be too late but I think it would be a fun one to
read.
A lot of things happened to me, my career and my family. I
passed the NLE and became a registered nurse, “yes I did”, but at the same time
my Mother got hospitalized -so I didn’t get a chance to enjoy that much- and I
have to stay with her and took care of her. I’m a Nurse, yes I am, but would I be
treated as one?
Nursing here in the Philippines wasn’t quite as greener as
what is being showed to you when you’re a student - wake up!-, yes it a great
profession but, you’ll never get a chance of getting a job right after you get
your “most awaited “ license. You have to suffer; it’s like finding a needle in
a haystack.
In manila, you have to get your parents broke before you get
to practice inside a hospital. You have to pay for your exam, your requirements
and so on, but in the end it wont guarantee you that you will get in and the
most heart breaking and mind wrecking thing is that if ever you get a chance to
get hired you will work for free yes “for free” and its called “Volunteerism”.
You get to pay to work hard and earn nothing but the joy of serving your patients.
I love my profession, but does this country offer us some
love? Yes, they do have some plans, plans, plans and it will soon end up as
PLANS.
Well, let’s end the drama; I’ll be posting more after this
so keep on reading. Thanks. ^_^
